Intake date 5 November 2019 . 2 year old neutered male border collie (mix?). Meet Bart! ? Bart is a border collie (mix?) who came to us from a shelter partner where he had been picked up stray. ? Bart would love a fun job, and lots of games and play, as well as a fun pack mate or two. ? Bart is bright, eager, and willing. He can be silly and playful, enjoys playing with other dogs, and is a real pleasure to be around - and he is super handsome ? ? Bart will do best in an active home that understands that rules and parameters are part of the game. Bart would love to become someone's walking or hiking partner - he is very athletic and would enjoy becoming a training partner for games such as agility. ? Bart is crate trained, and is housebroken in his foster home. Bart enjoys training, and would enjoy a playful, confident dog partner, as well as a human partner ready to bend his brain. ? Bart's history with children and cats is unknown. He is located in Maryland. ? For information on adoption, please visit our website at Please be sure to read our FAQs prior to application. #mabcr #rightdogrighthome #MABCRBart @ MABCR . Picked up stray, we pulled him when no one claimed him. Bart can be super bouncy and silly when excited -- he walks perfectly on leash until he is excited, then all bets are off! So far, Bart is great with other dogs (although he has a rougher play style than your typical border collie), and has been excellent with people. Bart will do best in a home that enjoyed training and exercise, and doing fun things with their dog. Bart is crate trained, appears to understand housebreaking, and will need work on leash walking. An application must be submitted prior to 'matching' an adopter with a dog as all dogs do not fit into all homes. Please understand that we will not discuss dogs with individual adopters until after the application process is completed. . Our rescue does not have a public facility, therefore there are no visiting hours. Appointments to visit with the available dogs are made after the application process has been completed by our staff. . To assist any dog within the MABCR organization, please consider making a donation to the general fund or to the medical fund. All dogs coming into our rescue are fully vetted (s/n and core vaccines) prior to adoption. . Rescuing animals is quite expensive. If you are unable to adopt, but would like to help this, or any other animal in our system, please consider a sponsorship donation.
