PUPDATE 26 March 2017: Fleck is here, and has settled in. We think he may be a mini-Aussie, and has the attitude to go along with it. That said, with structure and time, he will make a very nice dog for the right person. Fleck does well with cats, and other dogs, though can play rough, so sometimes the humans run interference. He thinks that the word is his playground and will mouth, though we are working hard on that. For this reason, Fleck will not go to a home with young children.
Fleck would make a nice agility prospect for a fun (not sure about heavy competition) dog. He will most definitely need training and brain work in order to become the best dog he can be!
PUPDATE: Thanks to Marisa, Nancy, Gwen, and Jennifer (as well as Niki, Karen, Jill, Amanda, and Suzanne), we've hit our goal of covering Fleck's intake expenses!! Thank you, Thank you, THANK YOU!!! PUPDATE: Fleck has partial sponsorship from Niki, Karen, Jill, Amanda, and Suzanne of $165. He still needs about $110 for full sponsorship. Can you spare a few bucks to help Fleck make his way to a new home? This little guy is coming to us all the way from Texas. He is safe with a good friend of MABCR, and will be receiving vetting before transport. He is a survivor of parvo, thanks to good vetting and committed volunteers (as well as a generous donor who covered his hospital stay!!) Fleck needs sponsorship!! His intake expenses will be about $275. Can you hep by chipping in a few bucks towards this guys road to his new home?
Please read our procedures prior to making inquiry regarding this dog.
Please go to our main website at www.mabcr.org for more information regarding the adoption of this or any dog from our rescue.
Please note that while this dog is currently available, any dog on our site may have an adoption pending and may not be available to you at this time. The same dog may later become available if the adoption falls through.
Our website www.mabcr.org will give you details on our adoption procedures as well as an application for adoption. An application must be submitted prior to 'matching' an adopter with a dog as all dogs do not fit into all homes. We pride ourselves in our adoption process, we take the time to get to know our adopters so that we can place a dog with them that they can enjoy for years to come.
Please understand that we will not discuss dogs with individual adopters until after the application process is completed.
Our rescue does not have a public facility, therefore there are no visiting hours. Appointments to visit with the available dogs are made after the application process has been completed by our staff.
To assist any dog within the MABCR organization, please consider making a donation to the general fund or to the medical fund. All dogs coming into our rescue are fully vetted (s/n and innoculations) prior to adoption.
Rescuing animals is quite expensive. If you are unable to adopt, but would like to help this, or any other animal in our system, please consider a sponsorship donation.
For information on our sponsorship program, please contact Sarah at SLR@mabcr.org.
